Playworker (The Den, before and after school club) job summary
Hours of Work - 3:15pm to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday
Term time only (38 weeks per year)
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Implementing a varied, stimulating and exciting range of activities that meet the children’s developmental needs.
- Ensuring the facility is ready for use, by setting up and clearing away.
- Working as part of a highly motivated and professional team.
- Establishing positive relationships with children and their families.
- Working in close partnership with all school staff and support the whole school ethos.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Adhere to and promote all school policies.
- Safeguard children and promote health and safety.
- Promote good practice in a professional and inclusive manner.
- Maintain a close liaison with class teachers in order to be aware of and respond appropriately to the needs of all children in your care.
- Take responsibility for personal professional development, including participation in own annual appraisal, any necessary training, and keeping abreast of all current issues relating to providing this service.
