If the answer is yes then we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced PMLD (profound and multiple learning difficulties) teacher to join our school, inspiring our students to achieve.

The Role
We are looking for a full time experienced PMLD Teacher to who can inspire our
special children to reach their full potential. We wish to employ a teacher who
will teach their own class and lead our PMLD team. Ideally you will be
interested in, or have experience of, working within a fully integrated
approach involving a range of specialist staff.
The ‘right’ candidate, with the desired experience, will attract a TLR payment and lead the pre-formal phase team and a core curriculum area across the school. This role is ideally suited to an experienced middle leader or an aspiring senior leader. Please state your curriculum strength within the application. An interest in leading communication, Makaton and/or Moving and Handling would be advantageous.
A positive outlook, a proactive approach, and a track record of effective team working and of high-quality teaching and learning are essential.
You will need physical and emotional resilience. Experience of working with students with profound and multiple learning difficulties is essential.
You must be keen to use our positive trauma informed school approach and have a commitment to safeguarding. Knowledge of the Engagement Model and good IT skills are also essential.
