Who we’re looking for

We are looking for a Policy and Assurance Support Officer to support the administration of the policy, risk, information governance and complaints functions of the Trust, to ensure they are undertaken in a regulatory compliant, professional, and effective manner. As a key member of a dynamic team, you will provide efficient business administrative support to the Assurance Team to ensure that its provision is professional and effective. This post has become available for a fixed term to provide cover for a period of maternity leave, whilst supporting internal development opportunities.

You will support the management of the Trust’s policy review and assurance framework by undertaking system administration, quality assurance of policy documents and reporting on policy compliance.

You will have outstanding writing skills that you have used to produce clear, accurate and professional documents for a variety of audiences or purposes, within a professional organisation.

You will have clear communication skills, respecting the needs and priorities of others, and be able to adapt your communication style to meet the needs of a specific situation.

You will have demonstrated sound judgment when considering the needs of an organisation, its stakeholders and the need to demonstrate compliance with a regulatory framework.

You will be self-motivated and be able to deal with a wide range of enquiries in an efficient and organised manner. You will have excellent IT and communication skills, with a confident and professional manner. You will be proactive, work well under pressure and effectively prioritise your workload to meet strict deadlines.

You will have:

  • A good level of educational qualifications, which will include high grades in GCSEs, and desirable to A-Level and degree level qualifications or equivalent, or significant experience within a relevant field, or be working towards a professional qualification in a relevant area.
  • Administration experience within a professional office environment, or experience of supporting policy development, risk, information governance or complaints within a statutory or professional environment.
  • Experience of developing, communicating and successfully implementing guidance and procedures.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in editing documents with the ability to correct spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors and ensure good formatting and presentation.
  • The ability to build effective working and professional relationships with colleagues at all levels, centrally within the trust, with school staff, and with other key stakeholders.
