Positive Behaviour Support Officer
Support Staff Salary Scale 5 - Term Time - 36 hours a week
FTE £30,033-£31,440 - Actual pro rata £28,242 - £29,565.
Highgate Wood School wishes to appoint a resourceful, flexible and knowledgeable Positive Behaviour Support Officer for an October/or immediate start.
The Positive Behaviour Support Officers primary responsibility will be providing support with operating the school’s behaviour support system.You will work closely with the Positive Behaviour Manager, Senior Leadership Team and Pastoral Teams to promote the positive behaviour across the school reengaging the students and improving their academic performance.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have the ability to form good working relationships with students and colleagues
- Have good oral and written communication skills
- Be able to adapt and be flexible in working practices and the ability to know when to use initiative
- Have a high degree of professionalism in your approach to work and tasks set
- Have an ability to be a good role model for students and colleagues
- Have experience of working with/caring for children or adults who have barriers to learning and/or special educational needs/behaviour issues
- Have experience working as part of a team
