About our school
Ivel Valley is a special needs school in Biggleswade and we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, ambitious and energetic HLTA to join our Behaviour Support Team, working with our fantastic children, young people and their families.
Our school site on Hitchmead Road supports pupils from Early Years to Key Stage 4 with the majority of students continuing on to post 16 education at our College site at The Baulk, Biggleswade. We support young people with a broad spectrum of special educational needs and disabilities including profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties, autism and complex medical needs.
You will join a passionate and supportive team and will be provided with a full induction programme to give you the training you need to succeed.
About the role
Grade: High Level Teaching Assistant - NJC pay scale at CBC School Level, Level 4 Band A (SEN) - Points 14 to 19.
Hours: 35 hours per week, term time, 45.4 paid weeks per year.
We are looking for a highly motivated, resilient and dedicated individual to join us as a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner. This is a high level teaching assistant role and the individual will work under the guidance of our PBS lead and external professionals to support the outcomes of pupils. We are aspirational for all of our young people and offer a broad and challenging curriculum with a pupil centred philosophy at its core. This role is a term time only contract and the successful applicant will be based across the school, and college sites.

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 4th February at 3.00pm and interviews will be held on Monday 10th and Wedensday 12th in the afternoon and will include a classroom observation and written task plus a face-to-face interview.
