Pre School Assistant Apprentice

£6.40 per hour will increase on 01 April 2025

37 hours per week and 52 weeks per year

Monday to Friday

Fixed term for the duration of the Apprenticeship (approx. 18 months to complete the Apprenticeship)

Greystoke Primary School is looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Pre-School Assistant Apprentice to support the care, safety, and learning of children in the Pre-School Group. This role involves assisting with various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the Pre-School while promoting the well-being and education of the children.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete Paediatric First Aid training and assist with incidents, ensuring proper care and documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect the unique needs of each child and their family.
  • Support children in activities, promoting equal opportunities for development.
  • Provide care and encouragement for children with disabilities or special educational needs.
    • Communicate with parents, carers, and team members to ensure a welcoming environment.
    • Offer attentive care, including play support and assistance with toileting and nappy changes.

      Greystoke Primary School is a Good-rated school based in Narborough: a large village and civil parish in the Blaby district of Leicestershire, located around 6 miles south-west of Leicester.
