We are looking for a very enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Pre-school Assistant to be part of our Pre-school team, potentially working across both our Preschool rooms and throughout the Infant school. The Pre-school provides a place for children, aged 2 to 4, to access the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS) through learning, play and exploration, both inside and out.

Our Pre-school is thriving and we are seeking a Pre-school Assistant to join our team in January. We are a friendly, sociable staff team, who care deeply about the children in our care. We give children who attend a great start to their time in education, and understand that children have different needs and cater to them. Prestwood Infant School is an outstanding 2 form entry village school with incorporated Pre-school, in a lovely location, federated with Prestwood Junior School, and is part of the Great Learners Trust.

We are seeking someone who has experience of working with 2-4 year olds; can provide a safe, fun environment for the children through a range of appropriate activities and play opportunities; have a clear understanding of the EYFS framework and take a role in activity planning and preparation. You will be required to actively contribute to the development and quality of the setting, possess effective verbal and written communication skills, and be able to communicate well with parents or carers. You would, also have an interest in working with children with additional needs helping access the curriculum. A level 3 childcare qualification is essential.

Prestwood Infant School, and Great Learners Trust are an equal opportunities employer, and as a responsible employer, we follow safer recruitment guidelines and will not accept a CV in lieu of a completed application form. The successful candidate will be expected to declare all previous offences and to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Visits to Prestwood Infant School are warmly welcomed and encouraged. To arrange a visit or to find out more about the role, please contact our preschool manager on the number below. Please send completed application forms to the email address below.
