Pre-School Deputy Manager job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Years specialist with experience of leading in Early Years and/ or Early Years SEND to join our ‘outstanding’ Pre-School provision.
We can offer a SEND allowance for someone with an Early Years SENCo qualification or we can support the right candidate through any training to fulfil the Early Years SEND Lead role whilst working alongside our experienced school SENCo. (allowance payable on completion of training).
The working pattern is: 8.00am-4.00pm Mon-Thursday & 8.00am-3.30pm Fridays (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break). This is a term-time only role.
The successful candidate will:
- Be part of the Puddleducks Team offering high-quality child care
- Key Person for a group of children
- Support the Manager in the day-to-day running of the pre-school & take responsibility for the setting in the Manager’s absence
- Optional: Take joint responsibility for meeting the needs of children with SEND (release time to fulfil this role is provided), including:
a) ensuring all practitioners in the setting understand their responsibilities to children with SEN and the setting's approach to identifying and meeting SEN
b) advising and supporting colleagues
c) ensuring parents are closely involved throughout and that their insights inform action taken by the setting
d) liaising with professionals or agencies beyond the setting
e) continue their own professional development through individual, setting and whole-school CPD
