Shillington Lower school (part of the Shillington and Stondon Federation) is seeking to recruit a passionate and caring, Preschool deputy lead with excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills to join a small team of educational professionals.
Our setting (known as Pixie class) is a purpose built unit, recently installed. It is located in the grounds of the school in a self contained area with own outside space. The setting takes children from the age of 2 when they are ready to be in a preschool setting up until they move to Reception. The hours will be 08:45 - 3.30 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (with 30 minutes lunch) and 8.45 - 12.30 on Wednesday. 28.75 hours per week, term time only, plus 5 INSET days per year. This is a permanent contract.
NJC level 3B (points 6-8)
For this post, you must be a calm, cheerful, caring and patient Early Years Practitioner. The perfect candidate will be self-motivated, capable of working collaboratively and independently when required and able to maintain a professional attitude in our new preschool setting.. You will be able to lead the setting in the absence of the room lead. A good understanding of early years child development is important as well as the desire to research and be up to date in excellent practice in Early years. You will need to be flexible and be willing to undertake a variety of activities with individual pupils (including those with SEND), small groups of pupils or leading the whole group.
Start date will be as soon as possible.
