We are very excited to be recruiting for a Premises & Community Officer to join our established and experienced Site Team.
There are two parts to this role. The premises side of the role will require the individual to maintain the School site which includes contributing to whole site Health and Safety, maintenance and repairs, day to day general duties, decoration, security and more. The other part to the role will be working with and assisting with the management of our Community Lettings that take place in the evenings and weekends. You will support them with site access and set up, queries in person and via email and taking interested parties on tours when enquiries come in.
The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys practical/physical work and be able to work independently and as part of a team. They will need to be enthusiastic, hardworking and either have experienced practical skills or be willing to learn new skills. Experience with plumbing and or community lettings would be advantageous. This position is full time, 52 weeks per year. You will be entitled to 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays. The shift is our ‘late’ shift which is which are 2pm – 10pm Monday – Thursday, 12.30pm – 8pm Friday. To reflect the unsociable hours of this shift pattern, the role comes with a £1200.00 annual allowance. In addition, you will be required to work one weekend per month, the hours of which are 8am – 4pm on a Saturday and 8am – 1pm on a Sunday. These are rotated between 4 members of the team. The site is closed on bank holidays.
Desirable experience:
Awareness of Health & Safety in the workplace.
Basic maintenance skills.
Plumbing experience.
Painting/decorating experience.
Keyholding/security experience.
Fire/risk management experience.
Experience working with or managing community lettings.
