What skills and experience we're looking for
The Basildon Academies are looking to recruit a dynamic, hard working and reliable Premises Manager who will take pride in the academy buildings and grounds, while supporting the Senior Leadership Team with its vision for the academies and its buildings.
As Premises Manager you will lead the premises team, who are responsible for ensuring the academies are safe, inviting and have a positive learning environment for students, staff and visitors. You will be required to undertake all people management aspects of the premises team, including; recruitment, performance management, training, scheduling, prioritising, supervising their work and that of work completed by outside agencies on the premises and grounds.
Working closely with the Assistant Director of Operations, you will be responsible for statutory compliance, strategy, maintenance, organisation, security, staff development, the safe operation and health and safety of the academy sites. You will ensure that the academy facilities function safely an effectively on a daily basis, including outside of core hours for lettings.
The successfully appointed premises manager will have;
- Proven team management experience
- Experience of being responsible for statutory compliance
- Experience of overseeing large projects
- Experience of procurement and budgetary control
