Prep School Head's PA & General Administrator job summary

Position: Prep School Head’s PA & General Administrator

Location: On site, Westbury-on-Trym BS9 3BA

Hours: This is a part-time position working 32.5 hours a week Monday – Friday during term-time

Working hours are 11am – 6pm (with 30 minutes unpaid for lunch)

The closing date for this position will be Tuesday 1st July

Interviews will be taking place week commencing Monday 7th July

We are looking for an experienced and empathetic Prep School PA & General Administrator to support our Prep school.


• The Prep School Head’s PA is responsible for providing administrative support to the Head of the Prep School. Alongside this part of the role, the post holder will assist in the day-to-day running of the Prep School as well as

• providing general administrative support to Badminton’s External Relations (Admissions and Marketing) team.

• The post-holder will play a vital role within the Prep school efficiently undertaking administrative tasks that involve a high sense of confidentiality and responsibility, including filing and logging parental complaints and organising

• Inspection paperwork. They will carry out day-to-day receptionist duties for part of the day which will include being the first point of contact for parents and other visitors to the Prep School, manning the front desk

• and assisting Prep School staff. For the other part of the day, the post holder will work in External Relations assisting with general administration duties including preparation for Open Mornings and events, and preparation for overseas recruitment trips.


To be considered for this position, we are looking for the following:

Applicants will be personable, of smart appearance and have good social skills. The right candidate will be organised, punctual and efficient in organising the workload and managing time effectively. The role requires someone who will work well on their own but also and work well in a team whilst being responsive to advice and guidance.

You will be the first point of contact for many important visitors and will be dealing with several confidential issues, so the ability to be resilient and tactful in difficult situations is essential.
