Preschool Practitioner (Maternity Cover)
Contract: Fixed Term (maternity cover until July 2025)
Hours: 35.8 hours, 39 weeks (term time plus one week)
Working pattern: Monday – Friday, 8.20am – 4pm
Salary: Pathway 2, £19,068.03 - £20,378.06 (FTE £23,114 - £24,702) per annum
Site: Gladstone Primary Academy

Your role:
As a Pre-School Practitioner, your responsibilities will include supporting and monitoring the EYFS curriculum, facilitating both adult-led and child-initiated activities, and providing high levels of care to enhance children’s well-being. You’re suited to this role if you are committed to equality, diversity, and safeguarding, and hold a Level 3 Early Years Educator Qualification. You’ll love this job if you have a solid understanding of child protection procedures, child development, and the EYFS curriculum. You are proficient in ICT and maintain high professional standards. You are emotionally resilient, calm under pressure, and able to build strong relationships with colleagues and parents.

Gladstone Park Pre-school shares a school site with Gladstone Primary Academy, on the Gladstone Street site. We are located in a separate building, called St Barnabus Community Centre.
