Preschool Teaching Assistant (Part-time - Afternoons) job summary

Work Pattern:

This is a fixed term temporary contract until end of August 2024, in the first instance, with the likelihood of being extended into the new school year.

Part-time 4days per week 11.30am-3.30am (20hours per week term time) Days required Monday/Tuesday /Wednesday/ Thursday.


We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in working in an Early Years setting,
  • Preferably holds a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education, but not essential.
  • Has knowledge of the Early years Foundation stage/ Birth to 5years.
  • Has child centred approach, (experience of working with children with social, emotional, and mental health needs, would being beneficial)
  • Is organised, creative and energetic.
  • Relishes the challenge of working with pupils, supporting their learning, social and emotional development.
  • Has high expectations of themselves and others.
  • Is reliable, hardworking, and prepared to go the ‘extra mile’ for our children.
  • Is an excellent communicator.
