Required for September 2024

St Michael’s Catholic School (Wycombe Campus)

St Michael’s Catholic School requires a dynamic and inspirational Class Teacher with a strong desire to lead our English provision and join a successful Primary Phase, working at our Wycombe Primary Campus. We seek a well-qualified, enthusiastic teacher who is committed to supporting pupils’ education and able to teach across all Primary Key Stages.

As English Lead, you would foster a love for reading, writing and language and lead on the development and delivery of high-quality English across the primary phase. You would work collaboratively with our Reading Champion and Phonics Lead to ensure success for all pupils and gain valuable experience as part of an all-through school, working with our Secondary Phase Heads of English.

St Michael’s Catholic School is an extremely popular school that consists of two campuses across Bucks and is an all-through school with students from nursery to sixth form. The Primary Phase is two form entry.

St Michael’s pupils composed the school’s mission statement of “achieve in faith with love as a community”. Young people are entering an increasingly complex world; the leaders of the future will require empathies, attributes and attitudes that will allow them to navigate and thrive in a world characterised by change. Our focus on Gospel values, strong relationships and exceptional pastoral support, provide the bedrock of our work.

At St Michael's you will be fortunate enough to be part of a welcoming, forward-thinking learning community with dedicated, professional staff and opportunities for personal and career development. We are determined that St Michael's will be second to none in the quality of its curriculum opportunities, teaching, learning, staff and resources. Our diverse and exciting range of opportunities for enrichment and learning outside the classroom give students the opportunity to grow in a broad range of contexts contributing to the development of happy, confident and ambitious young people.

The successful candidate will be:

A well-qualified teacher with a vision for the future

A passionate educator with a vision for exceptional English learning

Able and Willing to teach a range of year groups across the Primary Phase

A highly motivated team player

An excellent classroom practitioner

Determined to develop professionally

Committed to the care, safeguarding and inclusion of all pupils

Able to inspire pupils

Confident working in partnership with others

An excellent communicator
