Primary Teacher – EYFS and KS1
Location: Lydford Primary School
Salary: TPS, dependent on experience
Job Term: Full-Time

About the role:
There are currently 17 schools within Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust, 3 secondary, 14 primary schools and a new SEMH school opening in September 2022.
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, dedicated, excellent EYFS and KS1 classroom practitioner and would be delighted to receive applications from both experienced and early career teachers.
Our teachers must possess the skills and understanding to accelerate the progress and raise the achievement of all our children. They should be excellent classroom practitioners who are committed to providing high quality learning experiences for all children, possess high levels of emotional intelligence and a desire to continually improve their practice.
Successful candidates will:
• Have relevant key stage teaching experience.
• Have excellent pedagogical understanding of how to progress learning.
• Have good phonics knowledge and understanding of early literacy skills.
• Be a well-organised, reliable, enthusiastic individual who will review, monitor and evaluate school performance.

Lydford Primary School is a small, rural school, nestled in the heart of the village of Lydford on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park.

Lydford Primary School has the unique privilege to have a partnership with Lydford Gorge as part of The National Trust’s Guardianship Scheme. This includes monthly trips to the gorge by Class 2 and regular trips by Class 1. The school staff and stewards at the gorge work together to plan a range of activities for the children; including conservation work, art activities and geography fieldwork.
