Contract type: 1 year fixed term
Hours per week: Full time, 32.5 hours per week
We also consider applicants who are interested in part time hours
Weeks per year: Term time only, plus 5 staff training days

With villains, victims and everything in-between, English lessons at the Isle of Sheppey leap off the page, but for some students English language is harder than others. We are launching an exciting reading initiative which will give SEND students the reading strategies needed to be able to progress from KS2 to KS3 in our mainstream setting. The role and what we are looking for
Due to our academy expanding we have an exciting opportunity for 2/3 primary school teachers to join our secondary school! This is a really energizing time for our school as we are close to rolling out our newly developed curriculum and academy One Plan fundamental student offer. We need English teachers with experience in teaching phonics and reading recovery at KS2 level to work with students who find transition difficult and need teachers who have experience in writing schemes of learning and able to bridge the curriculum from key stage 2 to 3.

Our academy
We are a large secondary academy and sixth form based across two specialist campuses on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent.
