Primary Head Teacher job summary

We are looking to appoint an exceptional and inspirational leader as Headteacher for Caldecote Primary School. This is a fantastic opportunity for either an ambitious and aspiring leader who has previous experience of leading a school, or an enthusiastic deputy ready to take on their first headship and who would relish the chance of working in a supportive and outward facing school.

We are looking for a leader who:

-Is an effective communicator who is happy to be a visible and a positive presence for all staff, pupils and families

-Is a supportive leader who will mentor and support the all staff to deliver high quality teaching and learning

-Believes in developing staff and seeking opportunities for them to progress their careers

-Is a highly skilled classroom practitioner who will lead the team to deliver the Caldecote Curriculum to a consistently high standard across the school

-Promotes our school values of Happy, Healthy, High Achieving through everything they do

-Is an effective resources manager enabling the school to operate successfully within budget

-Can work co-operatively with Governors to drive the strategic direction of the school

-Is open to collegiate working to further develop the school through the Raising Achievement Plan

-Is reflective and ensures the school’s Self Evaluation gives an accurate account of the school

-Someone who cares for and supports children and their families and has a commitment to inclusion, equality and diversity.
