We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and inspirational leader to further develop our successful school. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, passionate Headteacher to lead the school, drive curriculum development and strive to continue to improve and raise pupil achievement.

Hemingford Grey Primary School is a welcoming, friendly school in Cambridgeshire. The school strives to provide a varied and creative approach to learning, where children learn to express themselves and have fun! With a pan of 315 pupils and an attached Pre-school, the school operates mixed age classes in KS1, LKS2 and UKS2. Each phase in the school works effectively as a team led by a phase leader, who form the School Middle-Leader Team (SMT). The Senior Leadership Team (SLT - Headteacher, Deputy Head and Inclusion Lead) works closely with SMT to drive school improvement.

-can work with the Governing Body and other stakeholders to develop a strategic vision for the future and build on our positive, caring and inclusive school ethos;

-is an excellent networker, able to seek out best practice and new ideas;

- has a thorough understanding of what makes learning successful and how to develop an exciting, structured and coherent curriculum which sets out knowledge, skills and values that will be taught;

-can demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to further develop the leadership team;

-is capable of effectively managing finances, resources and people; and

- is fully committed to promoting a school culture where the welfare and safeguarding of children is paramount.

Hemingford Grey Primary School is looking to appoint a classroom teacher to work within our LKS2 team. The school has about 300 children on roll with a pan of 45 in each year group. We have three mixed age classes of year three and four children. Mixed-age classes in KS1 Y1/2 and UKS2 Y5/6 continue through the school. The school operates a Learning Zone model where children access a shared breakout area in each phase. Independent skills of learning are developed in progression across the school in the Learning Zones, whilst taught sessions in maths and English vary in size across school to accommodate the needs of the children. The teachers and teaching assistants work in a strong team to provide the best learning opportunities for the children.
