Primary Outreach Support Worker
Are you able to work flexibly and independently? Do you have a good sense of humour and boundless energy? If yes, then there is a unique opportunity for you to join our dedicated and enthusiastic team at North Herts Education Support Centre, an “Outstanding” Pupil Referral Unit.
An opportunity has arisen here, within North Herts Primary Support Services, for a Support Worker to provide outreach support for ‘high needs’ pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties in North Herts Primary Schools.
This role requires staff to work 1:1 with pupils delivering an SEMH curriculum, supporting families and schools. You would need to work collaboratively with other professionals, with a multi-agency approach to create positive long term change.
This is a 1-year contract (in the first instance, with the potential to be extended) for a commission service post for 5 days per week (Maximum 30 hours) at H5.9. The post to start ASAP, or within a candidate’s notice period.
The appointed candidate could potentially work in any of the North Herts Primary Schools in the Royston, Baldock and Letchworth Partnership areas and therefore access to own transport is essential.
