You will relish in the opportunities that are available with us. We call our Teaching Assistants ‘CLASS Worker’s. They are indeed ‘class’ however here, the CLASS stands for Curriculum and Learning Access Student Support. The role involves working under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff, usually in the classroom with the teacher, to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. This is position is to commence in January 2021.
This role is to work term-time only, plus Professional Development days. The hours are Monday to Friday starting from 8.30am and finishing at 4pm twice a week, 4.30pm on one day for meetings, 5pm on one day for CPD, and Fridays at 3.30pm. The salary starts from £20,225 p/a and is dependent upon experience and qualifications. You should have a good all round education. It is essential that you have at least GCSE Grade D-G or Functional Skills Level 1 or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent); have an awareness and understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities; and experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age.
