What skills and experience we're looking for
York High School is seeking to appoint a colleague with a passion for PE and Sport on behalf of the York Schools Sport Network (YSSN).
The role involves working with a number of identified primary schools to:
- make a significant contribution to improving the quality of the teaching in Physical Education.
- support existing school staff in developing their own skills in teaching physical education and in the delivery of sports activities.
- organise lunchtime activities and leadership programmes.
- organise and facilitate extra-curricular clubs.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of what constitutes good or better PE teaching and the ability to work with colleagues in Primary Schools in developing their PE delivery.
