St Thomas' Federation - Stronger Together
We are two schools working together to benefit families in North Kensington. St Thomas' has joined forces with St Clement and St James CE Primary School to form a federation.
Shared vision statement: ‘We are a family of schools dedicated to serving the children in our local community to ensure they receive an all-round education rooted in Christian values and are given every opportunity to flourish.’
We work closely with our colleagues in both schools. Our aim is to ensure our children benefit as much as possible from this new partnership and through sharing good practice and learning from the strengths of both schools we believe we will become stronger together.
The schools have the advantage of functioning, day to day, like one form entry village schools, small is beautiful! We aim to make very safe and caring environments where everybody knows your name and understands you. The children will also have a sense of belonging to a bigger partnership of learning.
We work closely together with a shared leadership team and curriculum. We are also excited about the continuing professional development and career opportunities for staff as well as the chance to attract the best teachers now we have stronger leadership capacity.
We have distinct church leadership from the parishes of St Thomas’ and St Clement & St James. Both schools have inclusive admissions policies and welcome local families from all religious backgrounds.
We now have a single governing body overseeing the strategic direction of both schools. The governors' aim is to ensure that both schools retain their individuality, strengthening both of our cultures whilst sharing our values.
