Bowden House School Primary/Secondary SEMH teacher

Bowden House School is a residential, special school for boys aged 9 – 16+ years whose Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties have had an impact upon their ability to learn in a mainstream setting.

This is a unique opportunity for a primary trained teacher who would like the challenge of working in a special, residential school assisting with students transitioning between primary and secondary provision. The successful candidate will deliver a primary curriculum within the expectations and environment of a secondary school.
The vacancy offers the opportunity to be part of a skilled, friendly and committed team of professionals.

Experience of working with students who have a Statement of Special Educational Needs/EHC Plan is desirable. An ability to work as part of a team is essential.

All students attend on a weekly, residential basis although there is the facility to admit students who live local to the school, to attend on a daily basis.
