We are a small community school, small enough to allow all staff to know all the pupils, whether they teach them or not. All of the staff and volunteers at Worlaby Academy are committed to making sure that the children and their learning is at the heart of all we do. We have high expectations of every child and offer them the appropriate amount of support and challenge to help them succeed. Staff at the school are willing to go the extra mile to make sure every child feels happy and safe and achieves their potential. Our buildings are well maintained and are bright and welcoming. The vibrant displays in the corridors and classrooms not only celebrate the children’s work and offer a reference point to learning, but also act as a platform for showcasing.
Worlaby Academy is a small rural school with just 75 pupils currently on roll. We encourage and challenge all children to strive for academic, creative, sporting and personal accomplishment within a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum. This year, all of the KS2 children are learning to play a musical instrument.
We support all children in becoming independent learners, demonstrating respect and tolerance. Our attainment standards are above national in all areas and we also support all children in a nurturing environment to become healthy both physically and emotionally. Children leave our school with a life-long love of learning and full of ambition for the future.
We are an inclusive school, supporting children with a range of special educational needs and pastoral requirements.
Worlaby Academy holds great value in our pupils having an ability to recognise the difference between right and wrong, and to readily apply this understanding in their own lives and in so doing, respect the civil and criminal law of England. They are also encouraged to demonstrate skills and attitudes that will allow them to participate fully in, and contribute positively to, life in modern Britain. There are excellent relationships throughout school, standards of behaviour are outstanding and levels of attendance are above national.
Staff at the school are a very hardworking and supportive team, who put the needs of the children above everything else. They continue to support each other and hold positive relationships with parents.
