What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for someone who:

- Appreciates the challenges of working within a small school environment

- Has high expectations and is able to inspire and motivate pupils and colleagues, resulting in high quality learning and progress for all

- Is able to plan exciting and challenging lessons and interventions that meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN, in a mixed-age class

- Has good communication skills and is able to work well with colleagues, parents and outside agencies to support teaching and learning for all pupils, including those with SEN

- Has proven leadership skills across the primary phase, leading staff training, being involved in self-evaluation and development planning

- Has a good understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and Keeping Children Safe in Education

- Can continue to develop the school’s drive towards excellence, promoting high expectations and outcomes for all, especially SEND pupils

- Has excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills

- An innate ability to demonstrate a caring and nurturing attitude
