EYFS/Y1 teacher (0.6FTE)
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic classroom practitioner to join our caring and supportive school. The successful applicant will be working in a mixed age reception and year 1 class. We are a small school and nursery situated in the village of Woore on the Shropshire/Cheshire/Staffordshire border. This post will be on a part time basis and is temporary in the first instance. Part time arrangements to be discussed with applicants.

• Offer proven good practice in teaching and learning across the EYFS and KS1
• Provide a stimulating, creative curriculum
• Deliver high quality learning experiences that engage and motivate all children
• Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Have energy, enthusiasm and drive
• Work effectively with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be willing to make an active contribution to the whole school
• Have a sense of humour and fun

· Qualified Teacher status
· Evidence of a commitment to professional development

Essential skills and experience

· Successful teaching within the EYFS and across the primary range
· Proven track record in raising pupil attainment
· Working in partnership with parents and other stakeholders
· Good subject knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum
· A working knowledge of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum
· A good knowledge of the teaching of early reading including phonics.
· Able to plan for progression across the attainment range, designing effective learning across a series of lessons
· Committed to meeting the needs of all children
· Has an awareness of the principles of effective assessment
· Understands the statutory requirements of legislation concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, SEN and Child Protection;
· Understands and demonstrates effective teaching and learning styles.
· Good understanding of a range of positive behaviour management strategies
Strength in teaching early stages of reading, writing and maths
