Primary Teaching Assistant job summary
St Mark and All Saints C of E Primary School are looking for a full or part -time enthusiastic, talented teaching assistant to help progress children and inspire them to learn new things.
An excellent opportunity to join a school in The Good Shepherd Trust academy within easy reach of Guildford and the A3. St Mark and All Saints have well-resourced classrooms
, attractive, expansive grounds including a Farm and Forest School and a very welcoming and supportive staff team.
The role will include responsibilities such as: supporting children’s learning (this could be in any class from Nursery to Year 6), undertaking playground duties, preparing resources, assisting the class teacher as well as a lunch duty. There is also the possibility of additional hours working in our Wraparound care 'Treetops'.

Salary: Grade B (£22,599) FTE
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 32.5 hours per week term time only (8:30am - 3:30pm) including 6 inset days for full-time staff- we are happy to consider part time candidates for this role
What we are looking for:
Experience in Early Years and/or holding Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or similar an advantage
GCSE grades of at least ‘C’ in English and Maths
The ability to read and write fluently , confidence in Maths
Self-confidence, common sense and maturity
A good sense of humour, resilience and effective communication skills
Adaptability and enthusiasm
SEN experience (desirable but not essential)
Be happy and confident to work with pupils from Nursery to Year 6
