Do you want to make a real difference, one that really means something? Maybe you are an experienced TA or Nursery Nurse looking for your next challenge, or even looking for a stepping stone into teaching? Either way, this may be the best move you make!
You will relish in the opportunities that are available with us. We call our Teaching Assistants ‘CLASS Worker’s as they play such an integral role in the development of our pupils and do so much more than simply assist the teacher. They are indeed ‘class’ however here, the CLASS stands for Curriculum and Learning Access Student Support. The role involves working under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff, usually in the classroom with the teacher, to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. This role is to work in our Nursery class and commence ideally in January; however we are willing to wait for the right candidate.
This hours of work are 36 hours per week on a term-time only, plus Professional Development days. The general hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4pm (with one CPD session per week until 5pm). The salary starts from £20,225 p/a and is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
The qualifications required for this role are very specific as the person will be counted in the ratio of staff to pupils. Generally speaking, a NNEB qualification, Level 2 Diploma, or Early Years qualification or related degree may count towards this ratio. For the full list of accepted qualifications please see the accompanying Person Specification.
