As Principal for our secondary academies you will provide the leadership and management necessary to secure high quality teaching and learning to rapidly raise standards of achievement across the secondary phase.


Wey Valley Academy is a large comprehensive academy which is located on a campus with a Primary School, a Special School and a Nursery School. It is a vibrant campus and Wey Valley Academy itself benefits from a variety of great facilities. Alongside the specialist classrooms for science, art, technology, dance, drama, music, catering, animal care and ICT it also boasts exceptional PE facilities which includes an indoor tennis centre and a fully functioning fitness gym.


As part of its rapid school improvement Wey Valley Academy has been supported by a rich programme of support which is available across all our Secondary schools and in 2023 achieved an overall effectiveness GOOD in its OFSTED inspection

·        Is an experienced leader with a clear vision for the future, building on current capacity

·        Can inspire and empower staff to deliver the highest quality teaching and learning and embed excellence at every level

·        Will lead by example, with a ‘can-do’ attitude that can inspire commitment from students, staff and the local community

·        Has a proven track record of implementing change to raise standards in teaching and learning
