What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking an inspiring, talented and dynamic senior leader who is ready to take their next step in their leadership career in a successful, creative school with a dedicated team of colleagues.
As Principal, you will have responsibility for the leadership and management of the school. You will be able to inspire and motivate staff to share the ambitions and high expectations for the school and will be able to work in partnership with parents and children to ensure the school serves its community. You will promote the vision and direction of the school enabling it to build on its successes.
The Trust is looking to recruit someone who:
has recent, successful middle / senior leadership experience looking for an opportunity to take the next step in their leadership career
is an excellent communicator and is able to build effective partnerships with families, staff, governors and the wider community
ensures all children feel safe, happy, and able to learn
shows excellence in teaching and learning
has an understanding of the curriculum and pastoral needs of primary aged children
is confident in using a range of behaviour management strategies
has the ability to work effectively, flexibly, and independently and above all is a committed team member
has the skills to lead, improve and sustain achievement for all children and is willing to embrace and promote the Christian ethos of the school
has a flexible approach to working
is driven, ambitious and enthusiastic.

Blakesley CE Primary school is an established primary academy at the heart of the community, which seeks to provide the highest quality education for each and every child, through an engaging, responsive and tailored curriculum, enabling all to achieve their full potential.
Blakesley school has been a proud member of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust since 2019, alongside 32 other schools in the Rutland, Peterborough and Northamptonshire area. PDET is responsible for employing all staff and managing the finances and other central services for the Academies in the Trust. These services include HR support; facilities and premises; procurement and school effectiveness.
