Our Principals enjoy both individual autonomy and the benefits that come from being part of a regional and national family of Academies.
The successful candidate will have:

About the Academy

Oasis Academy Brightstowe is a co-educational Academy, which admits students between the ages of 11 to 16 years, situated in Shirehampton, Bristol. The Academy opened in 2008 in a state-of-the-art building, with exceptional facilities to inspire great learning.

Oasis Academy Brightstowe is part of the Oasis Hub: North Bristol (OHNB), which includes Oasis Academy Bank Leaze and Oasis Academy Long Cross, serving the communities of Shirehampton, Lawrence Weston, Sea Mills and Avonmouth which are amongst the highest areas of deprivation in the UK.
Oasis understands that the factors that create disadvantages for children and young people need to be tackled to improve their life chances. Our response is the creation of Oasis Hubs. This is an opportunity for you to bring this community together through building partnerships with local businesses and services, such as healthcare, police, charities and with the parents and carers of our young people, you will be a figurehead in this community and make our Hub thrive.
The Academy benefits from the support mechanism of the Trust which provides a bespoke curriculum, behaviour and pedagogical approach, freeing teachers to teach and leaders to lead. As part of the Oasis family of Academies in the South West, you will enjoy the support and challenge of your peers and the Regional Director, who provide bespoke challenge and support allocated on a needs basis. You can expect high-quality, ongoing professional development, and we share accountability and a determination to enable improvement within our Academies.
