Principal job summary
Rural Church School Academy Trust (RCSAT) are looking to appoint an inspiring, capable and creative leader who will relish the exciting challenge of leading and promoting the overall Christian ethos, vision, aims and distinctiveness of our Church of England school and nursery.
Our new Principal will be an excellent practitioner, able to lead curriculum development and those who deliver it, constantly seeking ways to raise achievement and standards. They will be an excellent motivator of staff and will have the ability to delegate and monitor effectively. The successful candidate will also promote the care, health and well-being of all our staff and children.
At St Oswald’s Worleston CE Primary School we inspire learning by providing a broad, rich and imaginative curriculum which allows children the freedom to develop their own creativity. There is a strong Christian ethos andsolid links exist between the school, Church and the Community
The position will commence on 1st January 2023.
As a school, we take the safety of our children very seriously and so all candidates will be required to provide current references which will be called upon and checked. The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check before taking up the appointment.

St. Oswald's Worleston CE Primary School is a traditional church school set in the heart of rural Cheshire just north of Nantwich. St. Oswald's school was first built in 1897 during the Victorian Era and serves the local rural community with roughly 120 children attending the school at present. Our small school has its own Nursery and takes children from the age of 3 years old right through to the end of their Primary School journey. There is a dedicated Nursery setting and Reception Class and then children are educated in mixed age group classes with relatively small class sizes. Ours school mantra is 'We are a caring Christian family where we grow together'. This care and nurture of all members of our community is something that is lived out every day at our school. Visits to the school are welcomed and encouraged in order to see, first hand, the learning going on both inside and outside the classroom environment.
