Ark White City offers a rare opportunity to lead a recently established school, on a brand-new site in West London.

Formed by the merger of two Ark schools, Ark White City has secure foundations in place from its predecessor schools with new energy to grow and develop.

The school is an integral part of Ark’s EdCity development; a real beacon of opportunity for the local community with affordable social housing, youth facilities and education office spaces. Located on a new state-of-the-art site, Ark White City has a roof terrace with growing gardens for each year group, a space for outside lessons and a high-quality playground area.

We welcome applications from current headteachers who are looking for a newly established school with real scope for development. We also welcome applications from high-potential deputies with significant and proven leadership experience, who are seeking their first headship in a collaborative network.

Ark White City Primary Academy is part of the Ark network, one of the country’s most successful multi-academy trusts.  Our primary school is one of Ark’s 24 primary schools, and the successful candidate will join a community of collaborative primary headteachers who work closely together to share good practice, provide support for one another, and improve what we do as a school and a network. This year Ark’s 2023 primary SATs results saw our key stage 2 pupils achieve 16 percentage points higher than the national average, a phenomenal achievement from all our primary heads and a testament to their collaboration.

What we offer:

  • Influence across network-wide issues through our principal meetings and regional collaboration
  • Support from an experienced and supportive Regional Director
  • On-hand expertise from our dedicated network education and operations teams who are ready to support you and your school
  • Bespoke teacher development programmes supported by the Great Teacher Rubric
  • Excellent career development opportunities across both the region and wider Ark network
  • Access to excellent senior leadership training
  • Highly competitive remuneration.

How to apply:

We warmly welcome and encourage confidential conversations about the role and visits to our school for suitable candidates. If you are interested in finding out more about this opportunity, please contact the Regional Director, Kate Magliocco, on Kate.Magliocco@arkonline.org or our or our Head of Talent, Lexy di Marco, on Alexia.DiMarco@arkonline.org

About Ark Schools

Type
Multi-academy trust

We’re an international charity, transforming lives through education. We exist to give every young person, regardless of their background, a great education and real choices in life. In the UK, we’re a network of 39 schools, educating around 28,500 pupils in areas where we can make the biggest difference and we’re recognised as one of the highest achieving academy groups in the country. We want to change the lives of children everywhere, not just in our own schools. So, we create and incubate Ventures designed not only to help pupils in Ark schools, but also to improve education systems.
