Procurement Specialist job summary

GLF Schools are seeking an experienced and proactive Procurement Specialist to deliver compliant, value-for-money procurement across the Trust. This is a key role supporting strong governance, effective contract management and improved commercial outcomes, helping to maximise resources for education.

Your Opportunity

This role sits at the heart of procurement across GLF, leading high-value and strategically important purchasing activity across goods, services and works. The successful candidate will ensure all procurement is compliant, efficient and delivers best value.

Working closely with school leaders and central teams, the successful candidate will provide expert guidance, build procurement capability and embed consistent practice across the Trust. A strong focus on supplier management, spend analysis and negotiation will drive efficiencies and secure value for money.

The role also ensures high standards of governance and transparency, maintaining audit-ready processes and supporting assurance activity, while championing sustainable and ethical procurement.

This will be a hybrid role, with a base at GLF Head Office (Banstead) and travel across Trust schools as required.

What we are looking for

  • Experience delivering end-to-end procurement activity, including tendering and contract award
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and frameworks
  • Experience managing contracts and supplier performance
  • Proven ability to deliver value for money through analysis, benchmarking and negotiation
  • Experience maintaining procurement records and supporting audits
  • Ability to advise and support stakeholders on procurement processes
