What skills and experience we're looking for

34.5 hours per week - Term time only plus five INSET days

The Teaching Assistant will work across our Profound & Multiple Learning Disabilities PMLD Pathway, supporting the classes to provide care and learning experiences for our pupils encouraging them to develop to the best of their potential.

The role involves planning resources, regularly leading classes for up to one day a week, helping to write Annual Review Reports, attending professional meetings if required and helping with medicines administration. Previous experience of working with PMLD and medically complex SEN students is essential.

What we’re looking for:
• Previous experience of working as a Teaching Assistant is essential.
• Adaptability, pro-activity, resilience and being able to think on your feet are essential.
• An ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
• A good command of English and Mathematics are essential (at GCSE level).
• Strong ICT skills.
• Be friendly, kind, patient and calm and be willing to join a team where we all do a bit of everything.
