What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a Progress Leader, who will lead a year group and take responsibility for the learning, progress, and wider development of all students, as they continue their educational journey. The successful candidate will work with students, teachers, form tutors and families to ensure that each child fulfils their individual potential as they progress through school. They will be responsible for analysing and monitoring attendance and punctuality trends as well as taking steps to ensure that these are maintained to the highest level.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner who has a successful record of enabling high achievement, of forging productive relationships with all students and their families regardless of their background or personal circumstances. They will be reflective, excited by taking risks and accepting that failure is a part of the learning process. They will promote lifelong learning through their constant drive to improve their own practice, as well as supporting those they lead and work alongside to develop their skills.

We offer an excellent induction programme alongside a supportive working environment.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a talented and ambitious professional to make a substantial contribution to the growth and development of Amery Hill School. • Enthusiastic and full of ideas, with the drive to make things happen
  • Able to monitor and evaluate the performance of your students, contributing to the school’s continuous drive for improvement
  • Able to enthuse students to achieve their full potential
  • Inspirational to colleagues and students – sharing best practice
  • Able to commit to, and raise further, high achievement and motivation
