Purchase Ledger Supervisor job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced purchase ledger supervisor to join our central trust Finance team and line manage the purchase ledger team in the provision of a professional, efficient and cost-effective finance service to our schools, enabling them to focus on teaching and learning and make the most of resources available to give our children the quality education they deserve. The postholder will report to and also assist the Trust Senior Finance Manager on efficient management of school and Trust Finances.
The postholder should have successful experience of effectively supervising teams with experience in operating purchase ledger systems and VAT accounting in a similar organisation. Duties will include:
- Administer the Trust’s Purchase Ledger function ensuring compliance with Trust policies and procedures ensuring orders and invoices are appropriately authorised
- Maintaining standing data including bank details on supplier accounts
- Ensure good internal controls operate in the Purchase Ledger function
The post holder will have at least 5 GCSEs including English and Maths and ideally be AAT qualified although we can support a fully funded apprenticeship for this professional qualification.
