The governors wish to appoint a class teacher from September 2019 to join our exciting and challenging complex communication provision within our caring, friendly and vibrant school.
We are a provision which currently caters for the needs of 24 pupils with complex communication needs and autism. We are passionate about providing the best for our pupils and supporting them to become life-long, enthusiastic learners.
Over the last 18 months, Rainbow Base has embarked upon an exciting journey of improvement. We are extremely proud of the progress we have made and are now confident that the pupils’ education, aspirations and independence is at the heart of our practice. We are seeking an outstanding teacher to join us on our continuing journey to ensure the high standards we have created are maintained and further developed.
We are looking for an outstanding teacher who:
• is passionate about the education of pupils with complex additional needs.
• uses a wide range of creative teaching methods to motivate and inspire children to succeed and achieve
• has effective classroom management strategies
• has a commitment to raising standards and accelerating children’s progress
• works effectively as part of a team
• can delegate effectively within their class team
• has a strong knowledge and understanding of how to support children with Special Educational Needs
• is able to engage with and enthuse parents
• is an outstanding primary practitioner who can demonstrate success in improving provision for SEND pupils

Richmond Hill Academy is a three-form entry school (630 places) with a 52-place nursery and Rainbow Base, a Resource Provision for children with complex communication needs.
