This is an exciting opportunity to join our committed Religious Studies department in our growing Church of England academy. Within the subject students develop understanding and awareness of how belief or none influences and shapes ideas about society and their place in society. Students engage in debate and dialogue around cultural beliefs and religious practices.

The curriculum is developed to engage young people in the Big Questions. Students explore how religious belief responds to philosophical questions and ethical issues. Students develop knowledge and awareness of religious beliefs, practices, texts and customs and their influence.

Students consider their own values and how this is or is not influenced by societal values and religious beliefs. They demonstrate respect of living in a multicultural society and worldviews.

All students complete the GCSE AQA Religious studies – Christianity, Islam and Themes.

A Level Religious Studies is offered as well to the sixth form.
