Reading Ambassador

Start date: 01 September 2021 

Salary: MPR 1-4 (FTE £25,714 - £31, 788 / actual £13,054-£16,138 per annum) 

Contract type: Part time, 16.25 hours per week 

Contract term: Fixed term until 31 August 2022 

We are looking to appoint a Reading Ambassador who will inspire, support, advocate and champion the importance of reading in the lives of children at our school. The Reading Ambassador will work to improve literacy skills and increase interest in reading among our pupils. As well as coordinating opportunities to celebrate and enjoy reading, the Reading Ambassador will work alongside our class teachers and Senior Leadership Team to accelerate the progress our children make in reading by delivering a range of interventions to increase fluency and comprehension. The Reading Ambassador will also raise awareness among families as to the importance of reading and offer workshops and guidance on how to support their child to read.
