READING SPECIALIST LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT job summary

Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Reading Specialist Learning Support Assistant support the school in its delivery of an effective reading plan across the school. The role will include a range of responsibilities as well as delivering and leading regular and appropriate 1-2-1 interventions in reading and to support pupils to increase their reading at subject level and at home.

The successful candidate should be committed to supporting students and developing links with parents/carers together with key staff. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required together with sound literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.

This post is subject to satisfactory references being received and a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure being obtained from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and may suit those who wish to progress in to a teaching career.
