What skills and experience we're looking for
Shoeburyness High School is seeking to appoint a Supervisor in the Rebuild Centre, our in-school isolation base. Experience of working with children and young people is essential, with an understanding of the factors affecting the behaviour and attitudes of children and young people.
The post will require good communication skills, an awareness of educational requirements and good interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be assertive, confident, well organised, and able to work on their own initiative.
You will work in partnership with a team of experienced and highly skilled Pastoral Staff and the wider pastoral and inclusion teams to support students who struggle to meet the schools’ expectations.

In meeting this need you will be expected to provide relevant core subject work via paper and online means, according to the students’ needs and department requirements. You will need to liaise with Heads of Faculty to gain key information in order to prepare for supporting students during their time in the Rebuild Centre.
