Reception Administrator job summary
Holsworthy Community College is a small academy set in rural Devon whose values are based on unity, compassion and friendship. As one of the founding members of the Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust, we live the cooperative values that the Trust holds at its heart.
Our Trust comprises of 19 schools, 3 Colleges, 15 Primaries, and one All Through SEMH Special school. Established in 2018, We are situated in beautiful Devon on the out the outskirts of the stunning Dartmoor National Park. The schools vary in size and are all unique. Our schools are a large part of their local communities, and we value those relationships with families and locals.

Job Purpose:
- To provide administrative and organisational support to Holsworthy Community College.
- To deal with sensitive and confidential information regarding students. It is essential to maintain the highest level of confidentiality in relation to all school matters.
- To improve communication within the Trust and with all Trustees and stakeholders to ensure transparency and clarity of school's vision. Main duties and responsibilities:
- To act as a first stop for incoming post, phone calls, e-mails and distribute as appropriate.
- To act as receptionist and first point of contact in the main office to meet the needs of parents, students and visitors.
- To maintain school diaries using a variety of systems.
- To maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area.
- To maintain records in line with the school's processes.
- To write and design general school materials as directed.
- To assist the staff team with admin tasks.
- To assist with the organisation of meeting and travel arrangements.
- To help maintain the school website ensuring that it is up to date and meets the audience needs.
- To book visitors as required.
- Responsible for general clerical and administrative tasks.
- To maintain school filing systems.
- To follow direction of the Principal in ensuring that the school systems are kept up to date at all times.
- Maintain equipment inventory for insurance/audit purposes.

The successful candidate will be required to come to DMAT HQ to complete mandatory training.
Training Details:
Location: Central Head Office (Wardhayes) 8 Simmons Way, Okehampton, EX20 1PY
Purpose: To provide comprehensive training on company policies, procedures, and systems necessary for successful integration into the role.
Training Schedule: Daily sessions from 9am to 4pm, with breaks provided.
