Reception or Y1 teacher job summary
The pupils, staff and governors of Burley & Woodhead CE Primary are seeking to recruit an outstanding reception or Y1 teacher for the academic year 2019-2020 in the first instance. This is an exciting time to be part of our school as we develop our new DfE English Hub, focusing on early reading and phonics. Our new teacher will be an integral part of developing our practice and receive cutting edge training in early language and reading.
We are a forward thinking and dynamic staff who are dedicated to enabling our pupils to achieve their full potential. Our unique and innovative curriculum ensures that our children progress quickly, whilst at the same time having the opportunity to develop their individual skills through a context-led approach to learning. Although we have very high expectations of our pupils and their academic success is important to us, we firmly believe in developing and nurturing the whole child and provide opportunities for each child to shine.

• Be an exceptional Y1/EYFS classroom teacher
• Be passionate about early reading and phonics and keen to develop and showcase their own practice
