Plaistow Hill Primary and Nursery School, part of the Learning Academies Trust, is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Class Teacher with EYFS experience to join our dedicated team from September 2025. We are on a journey to become an all through Primary School and will have Nursery to Year 5 in 2025-26. Our fabulous and dedicated staff strive to encourage each child to reach their full potential in all areas of the curriculum through excellent teaching, the provision of an interesting, challenging and stimulating environment and curriculum.

The RoleWe are looking for someone who can:

Inspire, nurture and support a class of children in the EYFS or KS1, ensuring excellent outcomes for all.

Lead the planning, delivery and assessment of an engaging EYFS curriculum that supports children’s development and meets statutory requirements.

Work closely with the SENCo to identify and support children with SEND at the earliest opportunity.

Foster strong relationships with families and carers, playing a key role in induction and transition.

Work collaboratively with subject leaders, Trust colleagues and the Local Authority on EYFS provision and development.

Take pride in our inclusive ethos, upholding the school's vision, values and high expectations.
We are seeking a teacher who:
-
Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience in EYFS and/or KS1.

Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and secure subject knowledge across the primary curriculum.

Has a strong understanding of the EYFS statutory framework, assessment and curriculum design.

Is committed to inclusion and improving outcomes for all pupils, especially those who are disadvantaged or have SEND.

Uses assessment effectively to guide planning and support pupil progress.

Brings energy, initiative and a willingness to contribute to wider school life.

Works collaboratively and shares our belief that every child can succeed, no matter their starting point.
