The successful postholder will have good organisational skills, be customer-focused and have a sensitive approach in dealing with parents, students, staff and external professionals. The appointed postholder will ideally have experience/competency in a various computer programmes to assist with office jobs. The role will involve dealing with students from the ages of 13 to 19 years in the main.

The postholder may be expected to work on either site’s reception desk and possibly across the wider Secondary Partnership which includes Eskdale School. Much of the office work is highly confidential and tight deadlines have to be adhered to.

Desirable candidates will be able to work well under pressure and have a high standard of accuracy, with good word-processing and computer skills. A personable telephone manner will be essential. The role may often be hectic and the postholder will need to be resilient and calm, and able to deal with a wide range of people.
