Are you a hardworking, efficient, conscientious and organised administrator, that is eager to contribute to a small school environment?

Do you thrive in a busy working environment, where no two days are the same, and where your work is seen, felt and valued?

If so, Trinity Primary School wants to hear from you!

We are looking for a professional and passionate person to work within our administration team, to help facilitate core administrative duties, essential for the running of our school!

Tucked within the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside is Trinity, a primary school situated in the quaint village of Aldwincle, with connections to Kettering, Wellingborough, Raunds and Corby in as little as 20 minutes. We are a small Church of England school with 160 children on roll (2024/25).

At Trinity, we believe that children learn best when they can take ownership of their learning and are inspired by their subject. Therefore, we employ enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and supportive specialists, to deliver our engaging, innovative curriculum and inspire everyone to reach their God-given potential. Every role within a school is essential to help us achieve this goal, and our administration team remains vital to this.

Following a successful Ofsted Inspection in June 2023, our school has received a very well-deserved rating of Good. Ofsted Inspectors commented that relationships between pupils and staff are ‘warm and considerate’ with pupils stating, ‘there’s such a nice, safe atmosphere here.’ Central to our success is our amazing staffing team, who work hard to create a calm, settled learning environment for our pupils, who are polite and proud of their work, with positive attitudes towards learning. We are therefore looking for our newest Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to work to uphold these expectations, contribute to this environment and support us in our mission to provide the very best in education for the children of Trinity.

At Trinity, we are currently seeking an efficient, professional, and organised Administrator, to provide a clerical, financial and executive service to the school. This is a role where no two days are the same and hence time management, prioritisation and multi-tasking is essential.

By working with wider stakeholders, from Children, Staff, Parents, Governors and Trust members, the role of an administrative assistant will be involved in all aspects of school life, and will work with a focused and conscientious attitude, committed to providing an effective service that prioritises communication, management, and confidentiality. The role of an administrator is an essential and valued position, to ensure local, Trust and statutory deadlines are met, facilitating the management of key processes, that support our children.

Trinity school has been a proud member of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust since February 2019, alongside 32 other schools in the Rutland, Peterborough and Northamptonshire area. PDET is responsible for employing all staff and managing the finances and other central services for the Academies in the Trust. These services include HR support; facilities and premises; procurement and school effectiveness.

We are seeking someone who:

  • Can maintain a courteous, professional and welcoming manner, in person, writing and on the telephone, with key stakeholders, to reflect our key values.
  • Providing effective secretarial support to meet the school’s administrative daily requirements.
  • Efficient record keeping, maintaining compliance with data protection requirement.
  • Takes accountability for the organisation and management of key school procedures, including, but not limited to, submission of relevant data to HR, Finance and Health and Safety teams, Admission procedures, Pupil Attendance, Pupil census submission, organisation of school trips and risk assessments, website maintenance and safeguarding protocol.
  • Please see the attached Job Description and person specification for more details.
  • Ability to work effectively and flexibly, both independently and within part of a team.
  • Supportive of the ethos of a Church and Trust school.

In return, Trinity Primary School are proud to offer a ‘welcoming, happy’ environment, that places our values at the heart of everything we do – children and staff alike. Our Christian faith guides our decisions and attitudes and promotes the development of a safe, loving and caring environment for all to learn, blossom and grow.

We are proud to offer this rare opportunity and are excited to meet you!
