Daylesford Academy is a small 35 place alternative provision who offer a nurturing approach to support vulnerable pupils who cannot manage in a mainstream setting. Class size is no more than 6 pupils, and each class has the support of a Teaching Assistant. We have an ARC, which caters for our more vulnerable pupils including those who need one to one support according to their Educational Health and Care Plan.
Restorative practice is used throughout the Academy to resolve conflict and de-escalate situations. Through its application, it means that suspensions are low and vulnerable pupils are in school and not missing out on their education.
