What skills and experience we're looking for
1. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
To be able to provide support to users of administrative services and be able to take accurate messages and communicate to the appropriate person
To be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships and respond appropriately to the needs of colleagues and customers
To be able to work as part of a team with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
To have the ability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads
To have the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
To have the ability to input, search, store, retrieve and supply information from a variety of sources
To produce documents from various sources using a range of software
To be able to order, maintain and distribute specified goods and services
Knowledge and use of SIMS
Evidence of continuous development
Evidence of maintaining information systems
2. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Holder of a nationally recognised qualification at Level 2 or above in English/literacy and mathematics/numeracy (GCSE grade C or above)
Experience of using a range of computer software packages to produce accurate, well-presented documents
An understanding of the school procedures and safeguarding considerations
Experience of working in a reception environment
NVQ Administration Level 2/3 or equivalent and/or word processing/typing qualification to level 2/3
The nature and demands of the post holder’s time are not always predictable and there will be an expectation that work may be required outside normal hours from time to time, so a flexible approach is essential.

RECEPTIONIST
Monday – Friday. Term time plus 10 days

We are looking for a school receptionist with strong organisation, communication, and interpersonal skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start an education-based career. You will be responsible for a welcoming reception area and will be the first point of contact for general enquiries. You will be required to provide a comprehensive reception service as well as supporting the administration team.
A flexible approach to work is essential, as the role will require assisting the administrative team at busy times. Previous experience in an education environment would be an advantage but is not essential. You will have experience of a full range of administrative skills and demonstrate a confident approach and professional manner at all times.
